In this Reclaiming core class, we will work with the deep, healing energies of the Pentacle of Pearl, moving through the five points: Love, Law, Wisdom, Liberty, and Knowledge. The Pearl Pentacle  is a powerful tool for integrating our personal vision with our work in community and in the wider world. 

Through movement, meditation, trance, and ritual, we will explore, deepen, and heal our connections with the points of the Pearl Pentacle. Using magic we will delve into the myriad ways these powerful forces can be shaped and channeled in our internal growth, our actions, our relationships, and our work in community.

Seidr Details

Join Yule and Phoenix for an experiential introduction to Seiðr (Norse trance magic) and spirit-led trance states; taught through an animist witchcraft lens. Rather than focusing on reconstructing historical techniques or performing theatrical ritual, we approach these practices as living technologies of relationship, grounded in ways of listening, speaking, and negotiating with an ensouled world. Both Yule and Phoenix have been trained in this magick by Donald Engstrom, a Sami and Reclaiming Witchcraft Elder. 

Through the practice of Seiðr, we will learn and develop oracular techniques, weave change, enter into grounded trance states, as well as open to forms of spirit communication and making ancestral contact. We will learn what it means to hold the role of völva/priestex as a witness rather than a controller, especially in a modern context.

There are two ways to participate in this magick.

Option One: Join us in a day-long Seiðr intensive, where we will learn the roles, rules, and practices of performing a Seiðr oracular ritual. This will begin at 10am at a private residence in Sebastopol, CA. Those in the training will help to create a Seiðr ritual that evening, beginning at 5pm and ending at 7pm. Cost: $200

Option Two: Join us for the oracular Seiðr ritual as a member of the Sippe or community. In this ritual, you will have the opportunity to have your questions answered by a völva/priestex performing Seiðr. The ritual begins at 5pm at Subud Hall in Sebastopol, CA. Cost: $30 in advance $35 at the door.
